Questions and answers
How long does the whole selling process take?
The online valuation is instant and the firm offer arrives within 24 hours. The offer is valid for 7 days at most: if you accept it, we arrange the collection, check the motorcycle, sign and pay you on the spot before we take it away.
What documents do I need to sell my motorcycle?
The registration certificate, the technical inspection card (valid ITV where applicable), your DNI or NIE and the keys. We take care of the change of ownership and the rest of the paperwork at no cost to you.
Can I sell a motorcycle I am still financing?
Yes, and also with other charges such as a seizure order, a lease or a retention of title. We take care of clearing the charge: the outstanding amount is deducted from the purchase price and we pay you the difference.
When and how do I get paid for my motorcycle?
On the spot, at collection and before we take the motorcycle away. There are no advance payments, and you never hand over the vehicle without having been paid.
What warranty does a motorcycle bought from MotoDirecta have?
Our motorcycles include a 12-month warranty. In addition, if the model still has the manufacturer’s official warranty, you keep it in full. The complete conditions are on our warranty and returns page.
Do you deliver? Can I return the motorcycle?
We deliver to your door anywhere in mainland Spain with specialist transport; for the Balearic Islands, please ask us. If you close the purchase at a distance, even if you came to see the motorcycle first, or sign it with us away from our shop, you have a 14-calendar-day right of withdrawal from delivery, under consumer regulations. If you close the purchase in the shop (by appointment), the sale is final even if we then deliver the motorcycle; there you can see it and ask anything before deciding.
Can I trade in my motorcycle as part payment for another?
Yes. We value your current motorcycle and deduct its value from the price of the one you want to buy. It is the most convenient way to change motorcycles in a single transaction.
