Questions and answers
How long does the whole selling process take?
The online valuation is instant and the firm offer arrives within 24 hours. If you accept it, the complete transaction (verification, signing and payment) usually closes in a further 24-48 hours. In total, you can have the money in your account within 2-3 days of filling in the form.
What documents do I need to sell my motorcycle?
The registration certificate, the technical inspection card (valid ITV where applicable), your DNI or NIE and the keys. We take care of the change of ownership and the rest of the paperwork at no cost to you.
Can I sell a motorcycle I am still financing?
Yes. We take care of cancelling the finance charge: the outstanding amount is deducted from the purchase price and we process the cancellation with the finance company.
When and how do I get paid for my motorcycle?
By bank transfer at the moment of signing, before we take the motorcycle away. You never hand over the vehicle without having been paid.
What warranty does a motorcycle bought from MotoDirecta have?
Our motorcycles include a 12-month warranty, except those listed as managed private sales, which are clearly marked on their listing. In addition, if the model still has the manufacturer’s official warranty, you keep it in full. The complete conditions are on our warranty and returns page.
Do you deliver? Can I return the motorcycle?
We deliver throughout mainland Spain with specialist transport. On distance purchases you have a 14-calendar-day right of withdrawal from delivery, under consumer regulations. If you buy in the shop, you can see it and try it before deciding.
Can I trade in my motorcycle as part payment for another?
Yes. We value your current motorcycle and deduct its value from the price of the one you want to buy. It is the most convenient way to change motorcycles in a single transaction.
