1. What cookies are
Cookies are small text files stored on a device when a website is visited. They can make a service work, remember choices and provide usage information.
This information is provided under Spanish Law 34/2002 on information-society services (LSSI-CE), the GDPR and Spanish data-protection law.

Video player (YouTube)
Only on motorcycle pages with a video. The player loads in YouTube’s privacy-enhanced mode (youtube-nocookie.com) and only when you click the video: until then only the thumbnail is shown and YouTube stores nothing in your browser.

Valuation A/B test cookies
Only on the Spanish valuation page (/tasacion) and only while MotoDirecta is running a test that compares two versions of the valuation form (the classic form and the chat). They are first-party cookies: they only store the assigned version and a random identifier that is not linked to your name or contact details, are not shared with third parties and are not used for advertising. They are set when you visit that page, including if you chose “Essential only”.

Browser storage
Besides cookies, the website stores some first-party data in your browser’s storage (localStorage and sessionStorage). It is not shared with third parties and does not depend on the banner; you can delete it in your browser settings.

3. Legal basis and Google Consent Mode
Essential technologies are used because they are necessary to provide the service. Analytics and advertising cookies rely on prior consent under Article 6(1)(a) GDPR.
MotoDirecta uses Google Consent Mode v2 in advanced mode: the Google tag loads on every visit. Before acceptance (and if you choose “Essential only”), consent is set to denied: Google does not create the analytics and advertising cookies listed above or any identifier, but the tag sends cookieless technical signals (the page visited, the browser, events such as clicks on contact buttons and, as with any connection, your IP address), without profiling. YouTube player data does not depend on the banner: it is only stored if you click the video.
4. Managing your choice
The first-layer banner offers two clear choices:
- Accept all: enables essential, analytics and advertising cookies.
- Essential only: leaves analytics and advertising consent denied, so no analytics or advertising cookies are set. The Google tag still sends the cookieless signals described in section 3, and the A/B test cookies and browser storage described in section 2 do not depend on this choice.
You can change or withdraw your choice at any time using Cookie settings in the footer. You can also block or delete cookies in your browser. Blocking every cookie may affect essential website functions.
